Just didn't have much of interest to say. I used to blog regularily, but this winter has been relatively boring. Btwn school, kids and work, not much new and noteworthy going on. Possibly laziness was the at the root of not blogging...........and really nothing new has changed! Today I think I may be procrastinating doing something else, or I have a touch of spring fever and can smell that great warm breeze blowing in my window and it is inspiring me to write! Wish it would inspire me to finish my next paper that is due! LOL!
I have heard many people complaining about how long the winter has been, but you know? I didn't really feel that. Typical Saskatchewan winter, boring, snow, and cold, blah blah blah.........yes, I guess we had a long stretch of cold, but we always know that at some point, the sun will come out and all that white stuff will start to disappear. I judge my winter experiences on how many days I had to plug in my vehicle, get a boost, or take a different route due to snow blown roads. I also judge the winter length on when it gets dark.............go to work at night in the dark and come home in the morning it's dark. And for me, this winter was pretty free and easy...........only plugged in when REALLY cold, no boosts, and I travelled an alternate route about 5 times. All in all, not a bad winter in my opinion. I did go to work in the dark, and come home in the dark, but that makes it easier to sleep during the day! This is the time of year that I have trouble with night shifts. I feel very out of sorts and out of step with the rest of the world. I can't just drop into bed when I get home. I feel like I should be outside, do something, anything to enjoy the light and sunshine before another winter comes upon us. I get to the point where I am exhausted and HAVE to sleep. Spring, Summer and Fall my sleep routine consists of 4-5 hours of sleep between shifts and Saturdays sleeping ALL day, if nothing else is planned.
So far, this spring is looking to be as busy as others. Running with kids, music, 4-H, animals, yard work, not to mention work. The summer will be here before we know it and gone soon after that!
I think I have to find some excitement..........my life is so boring...........even I wouldn't want to read my blogs!
